Definitions: 1. Post-emergence herbicides -designed to kill plants that are already up and growing
2. Pre-emergence herbicides – are suppose to prevent seeds from germinating.
3. Selective herbicides – “selects” and kills only certain kinds of plants.
4. Nonselective herbicides – designed to kill ALL green plants.
